Program Overivew
The AES EcoEmbark program is ideal for highly motivated students age 15 and above who are interested in developing critical life skills in both entpreneurship and social innovation.
Our program takes place at our partner sites where AES has developed relationships with diverse communities to create sustainable demonstration & educational sites to help the beneficiaries on site as well as serve as innovative learning labs for sustainability.
While mentoring under successful, international social entrepreneurs, students explore the living systems of the natural and built world while simultaneously designing and building sustainable solutions for long lasting social and environmental impact. Students go through the entpreneurial process and get unique insights into effective problem solving skills.
Students gain practical hands on experience in subject areas such as design, architecture, economics, engineering, global development, biological sciences and entrepreneurship.Students also earn service hours for IB CAS requirements, build their resume for college and develop friendships with motivated peers.
